There is a revolution going on in controlling snow and ice accumulations on roads, parking lots, sidewalks and stairs between Granular and Liquid materials.
Every snow management company knows that timing is everything. Granular products (Salt and Sand) work best at temperatures at or just below freezing to -10 degrees C (15 degrees F) and are spread right before and/or after the storm hits because as much as 80% is thrown from the intended road, parking lot, sidewalk and stair surface area and wasted if applied too soon. If wasted there is a requirement for more salt to be used, and salt is highly corrosive and harmful to vegetation.
Liquid products can be effective for temperatures as low as -31 degrees C (-25 degrees F) and can be applied as much as a week BEFORE the storm hits because the product seeps into the pores/cracks of the road, parking lot, sidewalk and stair surface area, dries, and remains dormant until activated by precipitation. This prevents the product from being wasted and makes using liquids a cleaner and more efficient path forward to controlling the accumulation of snow and ice on roads, parking lots, sidewalks, and stairs. Liquids are also potentially less corrosive and harmful to vegetation and prevents ice and snow from forming a bond to the surfaces.

TURBO TECHNOLOGIES BUILDS GREAT BRINE SPRAYERS AND MAKERS
Turbo Turf Brine Sprayer units that are available in 50 to 1600 gallon (189 to 6,056 liter) sizes with a choice of either gasoline power, hydraulic power or 12 volt electric power. Spray booms are available in one or three lane configurations with in cab wired, wireless or GPS controllers. Frames are built from structural steel and are also available with a hot dip galvanized coating.
