WHEN FAILURE ISN’T AN OPTION, PNEUMATIC SEEDING: (Terraseeding ®™)
MAY BE THE SOLUTION

Pneumatic seeding (Terraseeding) is a modern, innovative technique for planting seeds by injecting them into compost, topsoil, or other growing media rather than simply spreading them on the surface. This method ensures better seed-to-soil contact, protecting seeds from being washed away by rain, blown by wind, or eaten by animals. It is widely used for lawns, golf courses, athletic fields, landscaping, and large-scale construction or restoration projects.

We can provide PNEUMATIC SEEDING services for areas as small as 10,763 square feet (1,000 M2).

How Terraseeding Works

The process typically involves several steps:

  1. Site Preparation: The area is graded and a well-draining soil or compost layer is applied.

  2. Seed Application: Using specialized blower trucks or equipment, a mixture of seed, compost, mulch, and sometimes fertilizer is evenly applied and mechanically implanted into the soil.

  3. Germination Support: The compost or soil mixture provides nutrients, retains moisture, and creates a protective environment for seeds, leading to faster and more consistent growth.
Unlike hydroseeding, which sprays a slurry of seed, water, and mulch over the surface, terraseeding plants seeds directly into the growing medium, improving root development and long-term vegetation health.

Benefits of Terraseeding

  • Enhanced Soil Health: Adds organic matter and nutrients, improving soil structure and fertility.

  • Erosion Control: Ideal for slopes, berms, and unstable terrain, as seeds are embedded and protected.

  • Rapid Growth: Grass or plants often begin to sprout within days, with visible results in one to two weeks.

  • Reduced Maintenance: Fewer applications and less risk of seed loss compared to traditional seeding methods.

  • Versatility: Suitable for challenging terrains, environmentally sensitive areas, and both residential and commercial projects.

Applications

Terraseeding is commonly used for:

  • Lawns and landscaping

  • Golf courses and athletic fields

  • Construction sites and large-scale land restoration

  • Slopes and areas prone to erosion
By combining precision seed placement with nutrient-rich media, terraseeding ensures robust plant growth, sustainable vegetation, and long-term soil improvement
