FERTILIZERS

Newly seeded areas must have a prompt source of nutrients immediately following germination. Based on your soil test results the fertilizer and additives within the hydroseeding slurry are the most effective way for seed to have a prompt source of nutrients needed to ensure strong and healthy growth.

The three main components of any fertilizer are Nitrogen, Potassium, and Potash. These elements are listed on the bag, which specifies the percentages. This is what the numbers mean:

Is Nitrogen which makes the grass green and healthy looking.
Is Potassium which provides for a healthy root system.
Is Potash which delivers food for overall plant health such as disease resistance.

A RHYME TO REMEMBER FOR FERTILIZER IS: “UP” (NITROGEN), “DOWN” (PHOSPHATE), “ALL AROUND” (POTASSIUM)

FINN HPN 10-44-6 Water Soluble. A high phosphorous starter fertilizer aimed at supplying all the nutrients and micronutrients necessary for the first 4-6 weeks of the new seedling’s life. Available in 30lb Pails
