Hydroseeding is a planting technique that involves spraying a mixture of seeds, mulch, fertilizer, and water onto prepared soil to promote rapid germination, establishment and erosion control. It is also known as hydraulic mulch seeding or hydromulching.

Hydroseeding is an alternative to broadcast seeding (Dry) and more cost effective than sod. Virtually any plant that can be grown from seed can be hydroseeded.
