BRINE SPRAYERS

 

WHAT ARE THEY?             Truck or trailer mounted equipment used for applying liquid anti/deicing products for controlling snow and ice accumulations on roads and parking lots.

 

WHY DO I NEED ONE?        Brine Sprayers when used in conjunction for anti-icing and de-icing are reducing material and labor costs and making our roads and parking lots safer.

 

WHY SHOULD I USE IT?        Liquid products can be effectively sprayed as much as a week BEFORE a storm because the seep into the pores of the road surface and dry and remain dormant until activated by precipitation. Salt (sodium chloride) is usually spread AFTER the storm starts because as much as 80% of salt and sand is thrown from the road and wasted. when applied before a storm.

 

ARE LIQUIDS BETTER THAN SALT?     Liquid products can be effective to temperatures as low as -25 degrees F. Salt (sodium chloride) works best at temperatures at or just below freezing.
